A Garage Conversion offers a more straight-forward route to adding an additional room to your ground floor space. By changing the garage door to window and adding elements such as insulation, you can easily make use of your garage as a Study, Shower Room, Playroom or additional living space.

A Garage Conversion can be achieved through planning in two ways: –

Permitted Development: The majority of garage conversions can be achieved through this route. The roof may require replacing and increasing in height within the limitations allowed. Roof lanterns or skylights may be possible to bring in extra daylight, creating a light, bright space for you and your family. We offer to submit a Lawful Development Certificate to the Council to prove the extension meets Permitted Development Rights and is very useful if you sell the property in the future. Planning Application fee not included.

Householder Planning Permission: If you do not have PD Rights or a planning condition requires, your garage conversion will require us to submit this application type. The Council can assess the application in full and make a decision, looking at issues such as parking. Planning Application fee not included.
